Precisely measure both CAD Comparison deviations and Wall Thickness Analysis results
Overview
Supplementing visual CAD or mesh deviations and wall thickness maps with probed point measurements can be helpful when comparing, calibrating, and sharing analysis results.
To use Voyager's built-in Probe Tool:
-
Click on the CAD Comparison or Wall Thickness Analysis you want to probe.
-
Left click on the point of interest to probe the area. The Probe Tool captures points in a sphere. You can adjust the radius by scrolling down to the "Probe Radius" slider in the Attributes Panel on the right. It will adjust in the viewport in real-time.
- Once you've selected the area, the probed measurements will show up in the bottom left of the viewport as well as the Attributes Panel. The tool provides the number of surfaces probed, as well as minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation values for wall thicknesses and CAD comparison deviations (the viewport only shows mean and surface counts).
- Clicking in a space outside of the scan will deactivate the Probe Tool. Simply re-click a surface to reactivate it.
