# Triton Scanning Guide (Application Development Mode)

> For scanning parts one at a time

Application Development mode allows you to perform custom CT scans outside of predetermined part programs. This flexible mode is ideal for research and development (R\&D), inspecting single or one-off parts, and fine-tuning scan parameters to establish optimal settings for new product lines.

### **Access Requirement**

Application Development mode is restricted to users logged in with **Supervisor** privileges. Once logged in, select **Application Development** at the bottom of the main menu.

### **Adjusting scan settings**

Application Development Mode on the Triton is functionally identical to standard single-part scanning on a Neptune. ### **Step-by-step scanning procedure**

1. **Fixture the part:** Securely mount your part onto a conversion pallet
2. **Clear the stage:** Press and hold the **Air Release** button to release the airlock on the rotary stage, then remove any existing pallet
3. **Load the pallet:** Place your fixtured pallet onto the rotary stage
4. **Lock in place:** Release the **Air Release** button to engage the airlock. Manually check the pallet to ensure it is fully locked and secure
5. **Configure settings:** Select your desired scan parameters on the interface (refer to the *Neptune Settings Guide* for parameter recommendations)
6. **Start the scan:** Review your parameters and initiate the scan
