Restart your on-prem system to resolve common issues.
Overview:
- Unplug the power cord from the wall
- Wait for the main power light on the server to turn off (~15 minutes)
- Plug the power cord back into the wall
- Wait for lights on the server and NAS to come back on (5-10 minutes), then wait about 5 minutes for the system to finish booting
- Wait a few minutes and try accessing Voyager
Full Description:
- Unplug the power cord from the wall
- There will be some beeps from the system as the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) takes over and as the storage (NAS) begins to shut down gracefully.
- Once the NAS is off the server will begin a graceful shutdown. This can take a while depending on what is running. Voyager may display some warning messages or only be partially accessible while shutting down. It is not recommended to use Voyager while the system is shutting down.
- Wait for the main power light on the server to turn off (~15 minutes)
5 Plug the power cord back into the wall
- The UPS re-charges slightly to ensure power is restored, then the server and NAS turn back on. The NAS will beep a couple times while starting up. This can take 5-10 minutes.
- Once the lights on the server and NAS are back on for a few minutes, try accessing Voyager as normal. If Voyager doesn't load, wait 5 minutes and try again.
- If you see a "low storage" warning, this could be temporarily left over from the NAS being turned off and re-connected and should resolve in 10-15 minutes
