Triton Part Programs

Part Programs enable automated, end-to-end CT inspection on Lumafield Triton scanners by defining how parts are identified, scanned, analyzed, and evaluated. They represent Lumafield’s most advanced automated inspection solution for production environments.

Anatomy of a Part Program

Every Triton Part Program relies on four core components:
  • Part Template: Specifies the part being scanned
  • Scan Recipe: Dictates the scanner acquisition settings and parameters
  • Analysis Recipe: Defines the post-scan data processing and analysis
  • Decision: Establishes the criteria used to judge a part as Pass or Fail

Operating modes

Part Programs run in one of two modes depending on your production line workflow:

Automated vs. operator-guided decision workflows

While Part Programs are designed to run fully automatically, you can configure how final pass/fail decisions are made:
  • Automated pass/fail: The Triton reads the pallet’s RFID key, executes the matching program, automatically creates the scan project, and evaluates the part using the Analysis Recipe—returning an immediate pass/fail verdict with zero operator interaction
  • Operator-guided decisions: For complex inspections requiring visual verification, programs can present the completed scan to an operator with overlaid go/no-go reference lines or other visual aids, allowing the operator to make the final manual pass/fail determination
