Slow 3D graphics in Voyager? Make sure your Windows PC is utilizing the best of its hardware.
THIS ARTICLE PERTAINS TO WINDOWS ONLY
When first beginning work in Voyager, some users may experience lagging graphics, particularly when rotating complex 3D reconstructions.
One fix is to direct the web browser to utilize the PC's standalone GPU (if equipped).
- Go to Graphics Settings by typing in "graphics settings" in the windows search bar.
- If the browser is not in the existing list (it isn't by default) select "Desktop app" from the dropdown and then click "browse".
- For the Google Chrome browser, follow the file path C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application. Alternative browsers should follow a similar file path.
- Single click to select the browser (file type "Application"), then press "Add".
- The browser should now be in the app list of the graphics menu. Select it and press "Options".
- Select the highest performance GPU available and press "Save".
- Restart the PC.
- Re-load Voyager and confirm improved graphics functionality. Reach out to support@lumafield.com if the issue persists.
