Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. You can start by positioning your part as usual (if you need tips on fixturing, you can see our fixturing article.)
    1. Note: if positioning very large parts, you should guide the part with the door open to watch for potential collisions.
  2. Move the third positional slider away from Standard towards Offset. This will slide the part to the left on the screen.
    1. Everything in the field of view towards the right of the screen will be captured. It is OK if things start leaving the field of view to the left.
  3. Please follow the usual steps to finish setting up your autotune and start your scan. You will notice a yellow warning asking you to stick around.
  4. The tuning process will take a few minutes. Once it is ready for the user, it will prompt the user to remove the part.
  5. Remove the full turntable to preserve your fixturing orientation and alignment. Once the part is removed, close the door and follow the on-screen instructions to move to the next step.
  6. Once the scanner is ready for you to place the part back in, it will turn off the X-rays again and prompt the user to open the door.
  7. Once the part is back in the scanner, follow the onscreen instructions to start the scan.
  8. At this point, you can walk away!
    1. If there is any doubt - anything that requires a user to intervene will have yellow text letting you know.
