Step-by-Step Instructions
- You can start by positioning your part as usual (if you need tips on fixturing, you can see our fixturing article.)
- Note: if positioning very large parts, you should guide the part with the door open to watch for potential collisions.
- Move the third positional slider away from Standard towards Offset. This will slide the part to the left on the screen.
- Everything in the field of view towards the right of the screen will be captured. It is OK if things start leaving the field of view to the left.
- Please follow the usual steps to finish setting up your autotune and start your scan. You will notice a yellow warning asking you to stick around.
- The tuning process will take a few minutes. Once it is ready for the user, it will prompt the user to remove the part.
- Remove the full turntable to preserve your fixturing orientation and alignment. Once the part is removed, close the door and follow the on-screen instructions to move to the next step.
- Once the scanner is ready for you to place the part back in, it will turn off the X-rays again and prompt the user to open the door.
- Once the part is back in the scanner, follow the onscreen instructions to start the scan.
- At this point, you can walk away!
- If there is any doubt - anything that requires a user to intervene will have yellow text letting you know.
