v1.8.4

🧬 Helical Scanning

Helical scanning is now available as a standard capability. Use of helical is available to customers on our Professional or Enterprise platform tiers, and requires scanners to be calibrated to our updated method.

🚀 Fast Scan Improvements

Major improvement of reliability and quality of scans under 10 minutes, including reliable scans down to 60 seconds.
Scans under 5 minutes require the Fast Scan module or access to the Professional or Enterprise platform tiers.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Where jogging in X can create an accidental offset scan on Neptune
  • Quiet mode depowering source during active programs

v1.7.5

⚒️ Improved Calibration Method

We’ve updated our calibration method to improve overall accuracy. It supports NIST traceability and is compliant with VDI/VDE 2630

✨ Restyled Feature Badges

Feature badges have been redesigned for improved clarity

✨ Additional Unlatch Button

An extra unlatch button will appear during offset scanning, allowing users to more easily remove and reload a part when prompted

v1.6.3

🔧 Improved Software Peformance

Bug fixes and optimizations that enhance overall system stability, with repeat scans now running with greater accuracy.

v1.5.2

✅ Explicit Offset Scan Confirmation

Offset scan behavior now requires explicit confirmation when running an expanded volume scan. This prevents accidental offset captures when the Y-axis slider appears to be at zero, resolving a previous source of confusion and accidental offset scan runs.

🏷️ Expanded Volume Acquisition Indicator

A new indicator has been added to show whether a scanner has the expanded volume acquisition module.

v1.4.1

💎 Scan Quality and Consistency Improvements

This release dramatically improves image quality and scan consistency, especially during longer scans. Users will see clearer, lower-noise results with more consistent data quality when extending scan durations.

🔧 Enhanced Hardware Reliability

Firmware updates improve hardware reliability, ensuring more stable performance and smoother operation during extended runs.
v1.3.3, v1.3.4

🧑‍🍳 Introducing Scan Recipes

Scan Recipes are now available, simplifying scanning by letting operators run automated scan setups and workflows without manual configuration. Reach out to support@lumafield.com to set up your custom Scan Recipes.

🔄 Scanner Remembers Prior Scan Position and Angle

The scanner now remembers prior scan positions and start angles for “Move to Scan” and “Repeat Scan”, making repeat jobs faster and easier.
  • Move to Scan position now returns to the position where you last pressed “Move to FFC/Load”. This means you can easily check the FFC position of a part and return back to the initial position. Previously, “Move to Scan” would only center the Y-axis.
  • Repeat Scan now remembers the “startAngle”, using it for both FFC and the first projection

📦 Cached FFCs for Expanded Volume Scans

Cached Flat Field Correction (FFC) images now work with expanded volume scans, improving workflow consistency.

⚙️ Autotuner Enhancements for Offset Scans

Improved autotuner reliability and performance specifically for offset scans.
v1.1.8

⚡ High-Speed Scan Enhancements

Reliability and performance improvements for high-speed scans (< 5 minutes).

🔁 Cached FFC for Repeat Scans

Repeat Scan now uses cached Flat Field Correction (FFC) data, resulting in faster repeat scans and fewer interruptions from FFC capture errors. For scans run over three days prior, the scanner will automatically recapture FFC images to ensure data quality.
v0.2.2

🔇 Introducing Quiet Mode

The scanner can now automatically power down the X-ray source and chamber fans when idle, creating a quieter work environment.

🚀 Refined Reliability and Warm-up Routines

Startup and conditioning processes are now more consistent, with clearer error handling and better recovery after interruptions.
