Overview

Tags provide a way to organize and categorize your projects within Voyager workspaces. Projects can have multiple tags, allowing you to filter and search your data more effectively.

Key Benefits:

  • Flexible Organization: Projects can have multiple tags for different categories
  • Quick Navigation: Filter projects by tags in the dashboard
  • Bulk Management: Apply or remove tags from multiple projects at once
  • Recipe Integration: Tags can be automatically applied via recipes

Tags are workspace-specific, meaning each workspace maintains its own set of tags.

Creating Tags

To create a new tag:

  1. Navigate to the Voyager Dashboard
  2. In the left outliner panel, right-click on the workspace where you want to create the tag
  3. Select “New Tag” from the context menu
  4. Enter a name for your tag
  5. The tag will be immediately available for use within that workspace

Only users with Editor permissions within a workspace can create new tags. Viewers can see existing tags but cannot create or modify them.

Applying Tags to Projects

Single Project Tagging:

  1. Right-click on any project in the dashboard
  2. Select “Add Tag” from the context menu
  3. Choose from available tags in the workspace

Removing Tags:

  1. Right-click on a tagged project
  2. Select “Remove Tag” from the context menu
  3. Choose which tag(s) to remove

Bulk Tag Management

Bulk Tag Operations:

  1. Navigate to a workspace in the dashboard outliner
  2. Select multiple projects (use Ctrl/Cmd or Shift to select multiple)
  3. Right-click on the selection
  4. Choose “Add Tags” or “Remove Tags”
  5. Select the desired tags

Use the search and filter capabilities to narrow down your project selection before applying bulk tag operations.

Using Tags:

  • Click on any tag in the left outliner panel to view all projects with that tag
  • Search results are filtered by your current tag selection
  • Combine tag filtering with text search for specific queries

Automatic Tagging with Recipes

Recipes can automatically apply tags to projects when analysis completes. This enables automated tracking of analysis workflows and results.

Common Recipe Tagging Examples:

  • Apply “Inspected” tags after completing analysis
  • Tag projects with findings (e.g., “Defect Found”, “Passed Inspection”)
  • Mark workflow stages (e.g., “Analysis Complete”)

Recipe-based tagging requires recipe configuration. Contact your Solutions Engineer to learn more about automated tagging workflows.
